FAN JUN ART

 ARTIST BIO

Fufan Zhang was born and raised in China and now lives in New Haven after obtaining her MFA in theatre design from Yale University.  As she continues to follow her career in set design, she is embarking on a new venture of sharing her fine art talents with those who appreciate them.  Fufan began studying art intensively at a young age.  She went on to teach art in Beijing for five years. Her artwork Lie and Blue were housed permanently by the Museum Collection of the Central Academy of Drama, Beijing.  

ARTIST STATEMENT

Art is an open-ended conversation between humans and nature.  It illuminates the power of life while discovering love, beauty, and peace.  As a visual artist and set designer, I infuse life into my artwork and design. I work with multiple medium to express different meanings and depths.  I feel empowered by influencing what the audience sees in order to instill emotion. Art offers me an opportunity to communicate with you and to create a beautiful experience through the ambiance generated in my artwork and design.
